Wipro Online Test Pattern, Syllabus and Interview Process

Wipro is India’s fourth largest multinational IT servicing company which has its headquarter in Bangalore, India.

Wipro hiring process involves online test or written test, face to face interview. The test pattern and syllabus for freshers and experience will be provided here. The exam pattern has multiple sections which include quantitative aptitude, logical & verbal ability and computer programming basics.

The selection process in Wipro have 3 rounds interview as given below:

  1. Online Test
  2. Technical Round
  3. HR Round

Note: Wipro often conducts group discussion before the online test. Sometime, they even conducts GD after the written test. The topics covered in GD are current affairs.

1. Online Test:

  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Verbal Ability(English)
  • Basic C/C++ programming and Data Structure

Quantitative Aptitude Syllabus:

Wipro has changed the hiring process, so the exact number of questions and duration of the given section cannot be said precisely. The number of question will be  not more than 20 with maximum duration of 30 minutes.

The topics and syllabus for Aptitude section are:

  • Number Series
  • Simple and compound Interest
  • Mixtures
  • Probability
  • Time, Distance and Work
  • Probability, Permutation and Combination
  • Train problems
  • Profit and loss

Analytical & Logical Reasoning:

Logical & Analytical reasoning section may have around 15-20 questions and the duration for this section will be about 20-30 minutes.

Verbal Ability (English):

The topics and syllabus for verbal ability for Wipro are:

Computer Programming and Data Structure

In this section, you need to find the output of the given code or find the bugs and errors from the syntax. The number of questions asked in this round are 15-20 questions with duration of 25-30 minutes. The concepts and topics covered are:

  • C and C++ programming
  • Data structures and Algorithm
  • Basic Computer knowledge
  • Networking & TCP/IP

Wipro Online Coding Contest:

Recently, Wipro has added Coding contest to it’s hiring process. If you have not participated in any previous coding contest, it is will difficult to crack it and solve those programming puzzle.

The coding tests would be in a compiler based environment. In the first coding test, some extracts of source code would be provided and you need to review and debug the same. In the second coding test a problem statement would be given and you would need to write and compile the source code for the same.

Some of the best website for these type of coding contest and puzzle are: HackerRank & HackerEarth. It is recommended to solve few puzzle before attending this round and also you can gain enough experience about the coding contest.

2. Technical Round:

To crack technical round, there are two important factors:  your confidence level and the other is strong technical skill in any of the programming language like C, Java, C++ etc. The most common technical questions asked in this rounds are:

  • Tell me about yourself?
  • Write program for prime number, Fibonacci, palindrome etc. using C and Java
  • OOPs concepts like polymorphism, abstraction, inheritance etc.
  • Write tables and query for SQL and database
  • Regarding you projects
  • About you academics
  • Why you have chosen IT field?

Note: If you are ECE or non-IT stream, be thorough with all basic concepts from your core branch. Most of the interview question will be from your project and basic concept.

3. HR Round:

The HR will ask questions related to job relocation, training and agreement. Meanwhile HR will checks your communication skills, confidence and body language. Sometime, they might also end up asking you puzzle, technical skills. Most commonly asked HR interview question for freshers in Wipro are:
